So much talent (and energy) packed into that tiny frame - he was a bona fide legend. We were lucky to have him so long.
Yes, he was a born performer. You could see he lived for it.
He was like a one of those small firecrackers but he refused to burn out. As The Lady Eve says, we were lucky to have him so long. He must have known everyone. I wonder what it's like to outlive everyone you knew when you were younger. Lonely for sure. But he never let on.
A poignant thought, indeed. I've known several people who've lived longer, even over 100, and losing one's contemporaries seems very hard.
