FREE - "Classic Films and the American Conscience" - FINAL DAY

Just a reminder that this is the FINAL day that "Classic Films and the American Conscience", my collection of essays from this blog, goes FREE on Amazon.  Have a look-see here.

Whenever I offer free ebooks, I always think of that guy in the cartoon "One Froggy Evening"  (1955), who, when he's trying to get people into the theater to see this singing frog (that only sings for him) -- puts out a sign:  FREE.  Still, nobody comes.  So next, he puts out a sign: FREE BEER!  Then everybody flocks to the theater.

Free beer was my next option to tempt you into downloading the book.  Or singing "The Michigan Rag" with top hat and cane.

My thanks to everyone who commented on Monday for the 5th anniversary of this blog.  I'm deeply touched and very grateful.  Next week, back to work with a couple of dramas that take us to the communist witch hunts of the early 1950s with "Trial" (1955) with Dorothy McGuire and Glenn Ford, and "Storm Center" (1956) with Bette Davis.

Must start cranking out those screen caps.

See you Monday.
