My deathless prose has been rather heavy and intense these several weeks. Let's take a break, throw a picnic basket, our swimsuits, and maybe a fishing pole in the back of the car and enjoy these last days of summer.

See if you can name the folks, and their movies in these screen caps.

Oh dear – I could only guess (A) Mildred Pierce with Jack Carson and Joan Crawford, and Groucho Marx in (D).
I think I've been doing a little too much goofing off this summer!
I only know the same two Patricia previously. named.
E: Humphrey Bogart, Alexis Smith, and Sydney Greenstreet in Conflict
C: That is Edmund Gwenn in the foreground. And the guy behind him on the right looks like Burt Lancaster. So the lady behind him must be Dorothy McGuire on the left. The movie is 1950 Mister 880.
I've got no idea who any of the children with Mr. Gwenn are. That dark guy in the very back behind Burt Lancaster looks like Richard Conti or Satan but probably isn't either one of them.
I am very impressed with your knowledge, my friends. For the record, here they are:
Joan Crawford and Jack Carson in MILDRED PIERCE
Sydney Greenstreet in CONFLICT
Dorothy McGuire, Edmund Gwenn, and Burt Lancaster in MISTER 880. To my knowledge, neither Satan nor Richard Conti were in this movie, unless they just did not receive credit.
Groucho and Thelma Todd in HORSEFEATHERS (Brava, CW)
And finally, Alexis Smith, Humphrey Bogart, and Sydney Greenstreet in CONFLICT.
Thanks for being such charming contestants.
