Discussion of old movies and the culture that made them.
When I get rich I am going to take cabs everywhere. Public transit will see me no more.1. Priscilla Lane, James Cagney - The Roaring Twenties2. Ernie Kovacs, James Stewart, Jack Lemmon - Bell Book and Candle3. Joel McCrea, Charles Coburn, Jean Arthur, Richard Gaines - The More the Merrier4. Charles McGraw, Don Beddoe - The Narrow Margin
You sound like Eliza Doolittle, who wanted enough money to take cabs everywhere. "I come in a taxi, I did!"
Eliza had the right idea. Riding in cabs and eating chocolates. It's funny how your idea of paradise changes over time.
I recognized some of the actors but none of the films. I am verklempt! The guy next to Charles McGraw I will always remember as one of the bad guys in CHARLIE CHAN'S MURDER CRUISE. One of my fave Charlie Chan flicks.
