And thanks for picking out Angela Clarke.Jacqueline T. And great timing, too. My sister and I happened to watch the movie on May 13th this past year. We didn't realize the date had any significance until we looked up the true story after watching the movie - that little coincidence scared us! I thought the three children did very well, but it's true, the film just came out flat. It could have been very powerful.

Recently, I wrote a review of a French film from 1945 - Les Anges du Peche - that deals with faith and how people come into other people's lives at a certain time for a reason. No apparitions in that movie, but I think it dealt with religion and spirituality much better. It seemed as though WB was just too timid about making The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima into a truly religious film ( perhaps it wasn't allowed the big "religious epic" budget ).

Anyway, I loved your line "there are numerous uncredited extras that may make you play the old game “spot the villager”". We play that game all the time! We were surprised to spot Angela Clarke and pleased to see her get such a big part as Lucia's mother. I loved her in Mrs. Mike ( 1949 ).The Metzinger Sistershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10728879307994086409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7092350404895325373.post-26433456397599911892017-10-13T09:52:46.208-04:002017-10-13T09:52:46.208-04:00I confess, it sometimes leaves me sleepless. All I can say with certainty, is that as far as the movie goes, Jack Warner was not a visionary if his studio could handle such a firecracker story in such a routine way.Jacqueline T.
