Mr. Holloway had a most memorable voice!Rick29https://www.blogger.com/profile/08358116647815569722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7092350404895325373.post-79617514434370301382016-01-28T17:40:55.720-05:002016-01-28T17:40:55.720-05:00Ladies, so happy to see fans of these "anthol...Ladies, so happy to see fans of these "anthology" features. CW, I know what you mean about slashing stuff from the original cartoons. For those of use who know the missing parts, it'll always feel like a skip in a record.

Metzinger gals, our pal Donald Duck shows up in Saludas Amigos, too. Love that duck. I really love his Uncle Scrooge McDuck, but that's another story. I suppose you could consider the Ichabod Crane one part of this kind of feature. I really love the songs.Jacqueline T. Saludas Amigos is my particular favorite but who can resist all those lovely tunes heard in these two classics, especially the Dinah Shore songs. I do have my own me...You have hit me where I live! I do have my own memories of these movies from my childhood, but stronger is the fact that my kids grew up with them and Gavin still loves and watches them. They can be a key to his mood. Benny Goodman means he is happy. If he's feeling blue, it is Andy Russell's ballad time. You should hear Gavin's impersonations of Nelson Eddy, Jerry Colonna and all of Dennis' characters in "Johnny Appleseed".

I have a couple of problems with Disney's DVD issues of the two movies. In "Melody Time" they omitted a verse in "Pecos Bill" about "Pecos rolled a smoke and lit it". Geesh, I must have seen that a thousand times (no exaggeration!) when I was a kid and never became a nicotine fiend. Just how gullible do they think kids are? They even cut "The Martins and the Coys" from "Make Mine Music". I read somewhere that the short had complaints about featuring domestic abuse. Again, do they think kids can't tell the difference between real life and a cartoon? Caftan Womanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05936895555808823221noreply@blogger.com
