In fact, when my mom and I watched this together many years ago in the Astaire tribute in the film "That's Entertainment!" my mom was heard to say- after Astaire had been shown dancing with Joan Crawford, Jack Buchanan, and Ginger Rogers- "now you'll see him with a REAL dancer." No disrespect meant to any of the other partners, but when you see Cyd in "Dancing In the Dark-" as conservatively dressed as she is- you see pirouettes, extensions, arabesque, attitude, and a whole lotta sex appeal!!
